From the air, SeVi is a quiet geometry in a green field — bungalows under thatch, a pool the color of the shallows, a beach that never really ends.
Built by hand,held by family.
The first bungalow went up with timber from the village. The second was drawn with a finger in the sand. By the fourteenth, the carpenters were on first-name terms with the tide.
SeVi is family-owned and family-run. Our staff grew up in Kigomani. Many have worked here for years.
We keep the village's traditional boat-builders at work on our beach. Fish at dawn, spice from inland farms, tomatoes from our own patch.

Our restaurant sits on a coral outcrop above the beach. Urojo soup, pilau and biryani, fish in coconut sauce — the deep pull of Swahili spice, with Mediterranean and Asian echoes.
