What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the name, email, phone (if provided), travel dates and any details you share in the message. When you make a reservation, our booking provider RoomRaccoon collects the information needed to confirm the booking and process payment. Our hosting provider receives standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamps) for traffic and abuse-prevention purposes.

Legal basis

For enquiries and reservations: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering one. For server logs and security: legitimate interest in operating a safe website. For optional analytics or marketing cookies: your consent, asked separately and revocable at any time.

How long we keep it

Enquiry messages are kept for up to 24 months unless they lead to a reservation. Reservation records are retained for the period required by Tanzanian and applicable accounting law, typically up to 10 years. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.

Who else sees your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers: RoomRaccoon (booking engine), our email service for enquiry replies, and Cloudflare (site hosting and edge delivery). They process data only on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to deliver the service to you.

International transfers

Your data may be processed outside Tanzania and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict its processing, port it to another provider, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to welcome@sevihotelzanzibar.com and we will respond within 30 days. EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies strictly necessary for it to function. If we add analytics or marketing cookies later, you will be asked for consent first and may withdraw it at any time. We do not run cross-site tracking.
